This season of the year, Easter, focuses our attention upon the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.. If Jesus died, there is no doubt that I must die also. So what does it matter how good or evil one lives. If death is the terminal thought, if death still awaits, then the meaning of living becomes uncertain. Some say, because of the coming of death, one should allow this uncertain reality to focus and center each choice in life. Nevertheless, this kind of death still overcomes life. So, what is life about, ultimately, but the overcoming of death through living. The resurrection of the one who will die, but who lives now to break the eternal grip of death. A resurrection that constitutes the rebirth of a new consciousness which focuses and centers my living.
ReGenesis
Walking among stones
In a dry river bed
silent whispers of aloneness
echo the weeping past
O’ rivers of waters
carry me back
within your circling motions
O’ rivers of waters
carry me away
rippling splashing dancing
return we
to the mother of our birth
for the long day
dryness tasteless thirsting
almost gone
in the cool of evening tide
yet does she call to rest
our longing souls
but we sense
no vibration
no confirmation
not even a mirage
O’ rivers of waters
carry us back
together above and below
to our birth mother
and we shall not run
this course crooked
nor walk among stones
