Meditations & Reflections

To what is becoming and being?

Everyone has an intrestingly different description of the Christian struggle.

Why is it that preachers and parishioners seem to struggle without asking relevant

and important questions? Without really being objective i.e., desiring the ability to see

more than one side of the issue regarding theology. We will not ask the questions that hurt

or questions that the answers to which make us uncomfortable. Therefore, we seldom go

beyond the common traditions to reach the stage of becoming.

Is it possible to be a person of God without being ”religious”? People are unclear and afraid to seek divine solutions when they are in trouble. When things seem hopeless many believers lose their sense of what it means to be holy, that they live in the Kingdom of God. Believers often say, “Did you sin? Are you ready to confess?” We beat one another over the head with religious talk and give them no balm for their inner pain. Being a religious person sometimes

makes us unreligious.

I am

That I am not

Numinous is the unconscious

Shadow of my being

That

Calls the finite

 Into infinity of meaning

Rest not  upon success

Lay down not

With failure

But let them be

Your paradox

From which only death

May rescue

For what is

Is yet to be

Thy birth spiritualized
