To OVERCOME the thinking of the dark world i.g., the world, the flesh and the devil will be our greatest on-going challenge. It is no mystery that light and darkness live in the same world together and are in opposition to each other.
The idea of the world, the flesh, and the devil is a common theme in many religious and philosophical traditions. This triad is often used to describe the three main sources of temptation and evil that individuals must overcome in order to achieve enlightenment or salvation. (Matt. 4:1-11)
The ideas of the world, the flesh, and the devil are often compared and contrasted with other philosophical and religious world views. For example, in the Buddhist tradition, the three poisons are greed (roster), hatred (snake), and delusion/ignorance (pig) are seen as the main sources of suffering and evil.
In many traditions, the world is seen as the source of external temptations and distractions that can lead individuals away from the spiritual path. The flesh, on the other hand, represents the internal desires and weaknesses of the human body that can also lead individuals astray. Finally, the devil represents the malevolent forces that seek to corrupt and deceive individuals.
In the Western philosophical tradition, the world, the flesh, and the devil are often seen as representing the three branches of the mind: the rational, the emotional, and the volitional. These three branches are believed to be in constant conflict with one another, with the rational mind often struggling to overcome the desires of the emotional and volitional minds.
Overall, the concept of the world, the flesh, and the devil is a useful framework for understanding the sources of temptation and evil in many different philosophical and religious traditions. By recognizing these sources and working to overcome them, individuals can strive for enlightenment and salvation.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh,and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God
abideth forever.(1 John 2:16-17)
Hold on to that which has been revealed in the Word of God and by the Paraclete;
let’s pass that which is passing.

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
